Outcome: More than 80 migrant children received gifts, entertainment, and community warmth.
In December 2024, FUNDAPROEMI organized a Christmas celebration for migrant children and their families in Alajuela. The event brought together volunteers, collaborating organizations, and a special visit from Santa Claus to create an unforgettable afternoon of joy.
Children were welcomed with colorful balloons, musical entertainment provided by a Christmas clown, and games that filled the room with laughter. Each child received a personalized gift — wrapped and labeled with love — along with a gift box filled with school supplies and toys.
The event was made possible thanks to the generosity of donors and the invaluable support of the Lions Club of Alajuela, whose members helped coordinate logistics, wrap gifts, and accompany families throughout the day.
For many of the families present, this celebration represented much more than a party: it was a sign that they are not alone, that their children deserve joy and belonging, and that there is a community that cares for them. FUNDAPROEMI is proud to be part of that community.
